- Worked alongside a Director through sketch design, tender and construction stages. Selected drawings shown were prepared by me or developed collaboratively with the Director. All visualisations shown were produced by me.
Public works project involving the design of two new fire stations for Wicklow Fire Service at Baltinglass and Dunlavin. The projects were developed as a pair of related schemes, using a common fire station design approach adapted to suit two different sites, local access conditions and operational requirements.
The design focused on providing practical, durable and efficient facilities for fire service operations. Each station includes appliance bays, watch room, muster and locker areas, drying/laundry facilities, canteen, training room, training yard with training tower and associated site works.
A key part of the process was balancing consistency between the two buildings with site specific adjustments. The design was also developed with input from Wicklow Fire Service and local firefighters, including feedback on firefighter circulation, PPE storage, room sizes, operational flow and day to day use of the buildings.
The projects have progressed through planning and tender documentation stages and are currently awaiting funding approval before moving to construction.

- Coordinated architectural information with structural, civil, M&E, QS input
- Gained experience in public sector and Public Works Contract tender processes
