- Worked alongside the senior architect during tender and early project stages, then progressively took on greater day to day architectural coordination responsibility during construction. Selected drawings shown were prepared or updated by me as part of the project documentation process.
Public sector office fit-out for the Legal Aid Board at second-floor level within Lidl North Quarter, Ballymun. The project involved the delivery of a new Law and Family Mediation Centre, providing office accommodation, meeting and mediation rooms, reception/client-facing areas, staff facilities and associated support spaces within an existing multi-storey building.
The project formed part of a wider programme of Legal Aid Board fit-out and refurbishment projects delivered across Ireland. The Ballymun centre had a strong public/community function, bringing civil legal aid, advice and family mediation services into a new local centre serving Ballymun and surrounding areas.
My involvement increased during the construction stage as responsibilities transitioned from the senior architect to me. I supported tender and construction documentation, consultant coordination, site-stage queries, drawing updates, snagging and close-out coordination. The project required careful coordination of architectural layouts with mechanical, electrical, fire safety, accessibility and tenant/landlord requirements within an occupied building.
