Major commercial automotive project for Brian Geary Motors in Raheen, Limerick, involving a phased planning strategy for the expansion and redevelopment of the existing dealership site. The first stage involved a retention application to regularise existing site operations, including an approved-used vehicle parking area, valet facilities, lighting, drainage and associated site completion works.
The main project involves a new two-storey Toyota motor sales and service facility on an expanded site, including a new showroom, service workshop, customer facilities, offices, site infrastructure and a new access strategy. The project required detailed coordination of planning, site layout, access, traffic, drainage, ecology, lighting, landscape and architectural information.
As Project Architect, I acted as the day to day architectural lead under Director oversight, coordinating internal team members, consultant input, drawing production and planning documentation across the retention and main planning application stages. The main project was recently submitted for planning permission.
