Public works project involving the construction of a new two bay fire station for Laois County Fire & Rescue Service in Stradbally, Co. Laois. The project includes demolition of the existing Civil Defence building and construction of a new two storey fire station, appliance bays, training tower, training yard, car parking and associated site development works.

The building was developed to support the operational requirements of a modern fire service, with careful consideration of emergency vehicle movements, firefighter circulation, robust materials, site layout, training use and long term durability. The project recently commenced on site and is currently progressing through construction stage.

This project provided strong experience in the design and delivery of emergency services buildings, including the coordination of operational requirements, technical documentation, fire safety information and public sector tender procedures.
