One Grand Parade

Commercial office fit-out and energy sustainability upgrade project at One Grand Parade, Dublin 6. The project involves the phased upgrade of an existing multi-storey office building, including vacant floor fit-out works, internal M&E decarbonisation upgrades, roof works and rooftop plant replacement to improve building energy performance and support the continued use of the building.

My role included planning stage coordination for the rooftop plant and energy upgrade works, together with ongoing tender stage coordination for internal M&E upgrades, vacant-floor fit-out and roof works. The planning application included the removal of existing rooftop plant and water storage tank and installation of new M&E plant screened by a new louvred screening enclosure at roof level.

The project requires detailed coordination between architectural, M&E, structural, planning and client/project management inputs. Part of the planning process was my involvement in preparing the Visual Impact Assessment and photomontage package. I modelled the proposed rooftop plant and louvred enclosure, prepared photomontages from selected public viewpoints, and helped assess the visual impact of the proposed rooftop works within the surrounding urban context.
